My story

My passport indicates that I am from Bern (BE) and Basel (BS). However, it does not mention that I was born in the canton of Zurich (ZH), the financial capital of Switzerland, and that both my parents were born and raised in Solothurn (SO). This is how my mini-tour of Switzerland begins.

I was 10 years old when a first important event came to change my life. My dad opted for a career transition, and we left the Swiss German region.

Goodbye to childhood friends, a new language to learn, and new friends to make on the shores of Lake Geneva, specifically in Lutry (VD). It was also at this time that my parents had the excellent idea of introducing my sister and me to the joys of skiing and mountain life. We started renting an apartment in Anzère (VS).

Anzère is a charming family ski resort with a breathtaking view of the Rhone Valley and the majestic Valais Alps. The sun accompanies us most of the time, from the first light to nightfall. We spent a good part of our weekends and winter holidays there.

At a very young age, I discovered a passion for finance. I did an internship at a bank at the age of 14 and started an apprenticeship at a banking institution at the age of 16.

Two years later, it was an epiphany; I finally knew what I was going to do with my life: I would be a Portfolio Manager. A profession that would allow me to discover a lot of things and above all, feed my curiosity as a young adult.

There, I learned to read balance sheets and income statements, familiarized myself with various corporate cultures and management styles, studied diseases and pharmaceuticals offered by pharmaceutical companies, how fiber optics work, techniques for oil extraction, or what lies behind a chain of restaurants or logistics and delivery companies. Finally, all the important things to know and master before investing in a company and financial markets.

I met many interesting people there, such as affluent clients and business leaders. I walked on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange on Wall Street (NY), and at 25, I managed a little over half a billion dollars invested in American companies for an international clientele with a minimum of 10 million dollars in assets under management in our institution.

I spent most of my professional career in International Geneva (GE). I lived in London and Syracuse (in the state of New York). I often work around Zurich and travel across French-speaking Switzerland for client meetings, especially in the cradle of Swiss watchmaking, the cantons of Neuchâtel (NE) and Jura (JU). In parallel, I devoted a lot of time to the army, where my military service ended as a company commander leading about 250 men. There, I learned to think beyond my immediate surroundings, to organize myself, make decisions, take responsibility for them, and also to express myself in public. I met people from diverse social and professional backgrounds, all of them more interesting than the others.

I must have been around twenty when the second significant event came and changed our family balance. My sister was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis and was prescribed lifelong medication. For our mom, who did not envision it this way, it was the beginning of a new life. By extension, ours was also overturned. She sought the help of a geobiologist, a lady who cleanses and harmonizes energies in places and houses, ours in this case. My sister's health improved within weeks. My mom discovered a gift, attended courses, seminars, and became a dowser and therapist. From then on, she would spend her time listening, advising, and initiating healing over the phone for people over the next 20 years.

On my part, I had long noticed that I had abilities and a sensitivity different from most of my friends. But I had listened well: 'A man cannot show too much sensitivity, and above all, he must build a solid resume to one day offer a woman and children an interesting framework.' However, I never missed an opportunity to borrow a book from my mom and learn new things about the esoteric world.

A long trip of 2 to 4 weeks per year, ideally with just a backpack, allowed me to take a good break from my work, put things into perspective, and, most importantly, discover new cultures: Laos, Burma, Nepal, Brazil, Mexico, Indonesia, and many others. But above all, there was a trip to India with a Vipassanā retreat. It was a bit like in the movie 'Eat, Pray, Love,' but with much less romance. I had already experimented a lot with my body, but this time, I pushed the boundaries of the mind into unexplored areas. A new seed was planted. Sports, with triathlon, golf, and summer mountain hiking, as well as ski touring and telemark skiing in winter, are other complementary activities that allow me to recharge and regenerate in nature.

But as the years went by, it became increasingly clear that someday I would have to use my sensitivity and the gifts entrusted to me: they needed to be used for the greater good. I had to create my own business with a heritage revaluation project that did not have the expected success, a return to my first loves in my ever-present bank, a geobiology school, and finally, a series of unforeseen events to finally cross that point of no return. The retirement of Chenrezig, Buddha of Compassion, with Venerable Phakyab Rinpoché, was one of the last elements before taking that step.

Today, I have found my mountains and my sun on the side of Crans-Montana. I am an entrepreneur, coach, and therapist, and I have imagined and created the project JustBeHappy.ch.

As a geobiologist, through HappyStay.ch, I harmonize places, and through HappyKarma.ch, I accompany people as a holistic therapist in their process of well-being and healing. Under the aegis of HappyOne.ch, I also coach athletes, entrepreneurs, everyone, in their personal, mental, relational, and even organizational development.

Let's go a long way together!
